(However my wife and I have a pact that if in our old age I am really like my Dad and she gets really like her Mum, then we should shoot each other - or take some similarly drastic action!) But I digress... I agree with you about the importance of what is planted within us at an early age. Of course, the other side of this is the enormous responsibility that we have as parents, both within our 'nuclear' families and within our 'societal' families (e.g. church). Planting and growing chillis seems much more staightforward - and without the attached burden of responsibility. As I get older I find myself sounding more like my Dad - which is manily good.
